THE POWER OF GOD FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD
Are you a frustrated Christian, be honest now? If you are, there's a very good reason. Every Christian knows John 3:16 by heart for it's been preached on at least a million times. Have you ever heard a message preached on Luke 3:16? The odds are you haven't. There's another good reason, the Holy Spirit hasn't encouaged it. Why? I believe there aren't many folks who've actually surrender their "whole life" to Jesus. Sure, uncounted millions believe in Him, but only to a point.
We can learn a lot by listening to folks for before long, what's hidden in their hearts will escape through their lips. If they have an intimate relationship with the Lord they will "automatically" share it with any who'll listen. We've been set free from the devil's power to make us sin and now enjoy the freedom of walking out our lives in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
We can see this best by looking at Paul in the Bible. He was an enemy to Jesus until they met on the way to Damascus. Before long, the power of God was on Paul and his life was changed dramatically. A large part of the New Testament was written by him for the churches he founded. In First Corinthians 12-14 you can read what he telling the folks there about the power of God which the Lord had given them. They needed teaching and we are also beneficiaries.
Satan doesn't want us to have it for it can destroy what he's worked so hard to build. I saw this in the county jail at Crestview during a two year ministry. I'm still pumped from what I saw Jesus do there. Jesus set the captives free saving some, healing others and delivering even more. The shocking thing, He used a fisherman and a salesman from a marina to do it. In obedience to Him we went and HE WORKED.
Are you interested in joining the Lord's work force? Become born again, and then simply ask Jesus to baptize you in His Holy Spirit. Expect Him to use you "in His time". Feed daily upon the Word of God as your spiritual food. It's very important to say what He said and do what He did to see the results He desires. It's all for His Glory and Honor. Need more help?
